About Play:

Bharatendu, a nineteenth century playwright, one of the last Bhakti Poets and the first to construct a contemporary prose. He wants to face Mrithyu, the death. He plays with him. Mallika, a child widow, who stays with him, tries distracting his arrogant move. She helplessly tries to bring him back towards his normal life. But Bharatendu continues. At the end naturally the last laugh is of death.

In this play, writer had used an archetype of playing dice with death. Another character, shadow of death has been symbolically used. Death is silent, its fear is vibrant.
